Fastn's Unified Command Layer (UCL) enables your SaaS platforms to deliver embedded, secure, and scalable AI integrations.
To set up your account with Fastn, go to and simply register by entering your name, email, and password.
Alternatively, you can quickly sign up using your existing Gmail or GitHub account for faster onboarding.
After you log in, you can select a workspace, after which you'll be directed to the next page to set up your integrations.
In the Connect section, you can search from 100+ Connectors:
These are prebuilt interfaces that establish secure access to external systems such as Slack, Salesforce, or any other third-party APIs. Each Connector handles authentication, authorization, and communication protocols required to connect to that system.
Navigate to the Connectors section, where you will be able to choose from over 1000+ apps (e.g., Slack, Google Docs, Jira, Notion, Salesforce).
Select your desired Connector (or app) and allow the respective authorization.
Once you have connected you will see the “Connected” button highlighted in green as shown below:
You can connect and disconnect with your desired Connector anytime.
These are specific tasks that can be performed using a connector, such as "send a message," "create a record," or "update a contact." Once a connector is set up, multiple Actions can be defined and reused across different connectors.
Think of Actions as commands that allow the agent to perform your desired task.
For each app you connect through UCL, your AI assistant will automatically detect the enabled Actions upon your prompts. Fastn UCL handles all OAuth and API token management in the background.
Once you have selected your Connectors, selected your desired Actions, and click on the confirmation button below:
After setting up your connectors and selecting Actions, you can now use either Fastn UCL's built-in AI agent or any external AI agent to execute these Actions through natural language commands. The AI agents can interpret user intent and execute the appropriate Actions using the configured connectors.
For example, you can say:
"Create a Google Doc titled 'Project Update' and share it in the #team-updates Slack channel."
The AI agent will:
Create a new Google Doc with the specified title
Generate a shareable link for the document
Post the link to the designated Slack channel with an appropriate message
After setting up your connectors and selecting Actions, you can now use either Fastn UCL's built-in AI agent or any external AI agent to perform these tasks through natural language commands. The AI agents can interpret user intent and execute the appropriate operations using the configured connectors.
