Step 1 — Configure Actions in Fastn

  • Login to Fastn.

  • Click on the “Try UCL” button in the banner & select a workspace you want to enable UCL for.

  • On the next screen, search for and select the connectors you want your AI assistant to use. Start by searching for Slack and Google Docs, then enable both.

    For each connector:

    • Click “Connect My Account” and follow the steps to authorize access to your Slack workspace and Google account.

    • Click “Enable” to choose the actions you want, like Send Message for Slack

or Create Document for Google Docs.

Step 2: Use Fastn’s AI Agent to Perform Automated Actions

Now that your connectors are set up, you can use Fastn’s AI agent to create and automate actions across apps like Google Docs and Slack.

After opening your AI agent;

  • Start by giving the command to create a Google Doc. Example: “Create a Google Doc titled ‘Model Context Protocol'.

  • The AI agent will generate a new document and provide you with the Google Docs link.

  • Next, instruct the agent to send the document to a Slack channel. Example: “Send this document to the #ChannelName channel.”

  • You can also include a custom message to go along with the doc. Example: “Here’s the Google Doc.”

  • The AI Action Agent will show you details fetched regarding the channel. Click Run Tool to proceed.

  • Once done, you’ll see the Google Doc shared as a message in your selected Slack channel, complete with the link and message you provided.
